Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina were a short-lived American pop-rock duo that hit paydirt in 1973 with their smash hit Your Mama Don't Dance, a song that rocketed up the charts internationally and destined to become a classic. Their success was such they played Carnegie Hall in 1973, before splitting in 1976 allowing Kenny Loggins to pursue an outstanding solo career culminating with an even bigger hit single in Footloose.
