My mom was born in 1930 and when I was growing up, she had a huge collection of 45's and 78's of all kinds of music. Her collection consisted of Scott Joplin, Mills Brothers, Theresa Brewer, The Beatles, CCR, Linda Ronstadt....and she bought me ZZ Top, Doobie Brothers, and AC/DC. The first time I played AC/DC's Have A Drink On Me on our living room stereo, she yelled from the kitchen, "Turn it up!"

A great Loggins and Messina song that you should do is: House at Pooh corner. It's about Winnie the Pooh and it would be great to share with your kids. Please seriously consider it. It's one of my favorites.

My oldest son, who passed away in 2018. This was his favorite song when he was 10 years old. I can still see him dancing in the kitchen. He was so darn cute. I miss you, my love child. Too bad you got bone cancer. Gone too young! We miss you so much!!!💕🙏💖

Jim Messina was a member of the bands Buffalo Springfield and Poco. He wanted to retire from performing and be a producer. CBS Records president Clive Davis assigned him to produce a new signing named Kenny Loggins. One thing lead to another and soon they were a duo that had success from 1972-76. Loggins first solo album came out in 1977. Messina retired from performing for the most part. The two have done the occasional reunion.

They had a couple of other top 20 hits, including "Thinking of You".
edit- Piano- Michael Omartian- American singer-songwriter, arranger, keyboardist, and music producer. (3 Grammy Awards). There is an alto sax and a baritone sax in this song, just for Amber!!

Jim Messina was in seminal band with Neil Young & Steve Stills called Buffalo Springfield (3 stellar albums). After they broke up Kenny was recording a solo album with Jim as the producer. Kenny released Jim as producer and musician was a large part of the album (was originally named Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin' In) and thus Loggins & Messina were born. Messina was the known artist with Loggins trying to make it. You actually have the importance of the two reversed, Jim Messina was the man. Jim Messina also started Poco with Richie Furay who he played with in Buffalo Springfield.

Like Amber said, an ode to the early 50s rock n roll that Loggins and Messina's generation grew up on. Back when Elvis, Jerry Lee, Chuck Berry Bill Haley, Little Richard and other pioneers of rock music were making waves in a new kinda sound.

My father loved this song . He was a 50's child and he and my mom loved music. I have great memories of them dancing to the radio in our kitchen.. I was very lucky. Miss you mom and dad..💔

Jim Messina was in Buffalo Springfield and Poco, and was hired by a record company to work with and produce a record for Kenny Loggins. They fit together so well, they produced 8 albums full of great songs and unbelievable instrumentation. Having been a teen in the 60s and early 70s, they were my favorites...Try their song Angry Eyes, but it's kinda long with great instrumentations.

I remember this song when I was a little kid. Mom n dad would go out dancing and this was a big hit at the time. Still love it to this day.

And they had Big Band back before rock, so mama and daddy did dance, oh buddy.
