It’s been brought to my attention that I failed to include disability among the oppressions that could intersect with sex class. My listing was not meant to be complete. Age, nonconformity to conventional beauty standards, and other attributes could also be intersecting oppressions that could shed light on how patriarchy affects women belonging to multiple oppressed classes.

This is a brilliant discussion. I am bedazzled by the CR rules. Fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing. Cheers.

So informative! I'm writing a novel set in the 1970s and I want to depict a CR Group. Thank you.

Thank you. Shame it stopped working. ( from where the talk went into some women feeling personally empowered but not becoming activists ….) Would have liked to hear to all of it…. We need to somehow get back together again

Excellent, and maybe to bring some other feminist to tell the story from other history perspective, Latin America, East Europe, women with disabilities, Black women consciousness raising groups, and crucial to tell us values and principles, thank you.

One key difference today is the need to hide CR groups underground, to avoid attacks by men.
This makes both finding members and spaces to meet more difficult, and more work.
