What is Offsite SEO?

Offsite SEO refers to the actions taken outside of your own website to improve your search engine ranking. Search engines, like Google, rank pages based on their relevance to the searched phrase and their quality. In addition to examining your site, another measure they use is the number and character of links pointing to your website.
Essentially, if there are lots of links on the web pointing to your website, search engines see that as a signal that your website is popular. If you receive links from reputable sites, search engines take that as a signal that your website is credible. And, if you receive links sites that are also related to the search query, search engines take that as a signal that your website is relevant.
So, what types of links are there, and which ones are we interested in? We can broadly categorize web links into three categories: internal links, paid links and natural outbound links. In this video we examine the three types of links and discuss why natural outbound links matter the most.
