Great channel! Looking forward watching more now that I dove into this insane software. Since Unreal Nanite launched, I thought it is a good point in time to get more familiar with it, as I assume meshes created in this kind of workflow will simply look amazing now with a real silhouette, without baking it to a flat plane (Still looks awesome here though ! :) .

i still think it would be easier to set up a texture and build the mesh from the texture projection, but i would have problem for repetitive patterns on a curved plane though...
