Thank you for speaking calmly. Some of the other interior designers talk too much, too fast and don't breathe which causes me anxiety.
Great channel 👍

I'm a 50-year-old straight guy. I built my brand new home and moved in last week. I just found your channel. You are showing me how to keep my house classy. I think you are a genius. Thank you.

Love that you reference both euro and American design preferences!

Yes, "Posh Pennies" is big on Posh today, but low on pennies. However I can glean a few insights here. Not not many of these examples even look like kitchens, but hotel check ins. I guess that is the trend? These kitchens are outlandishly expensive and nobody watching could begin to afford them. A small under the cabinet wine fridge is bad enough, but those glassed in rooms showcasing a wine collection is just tacky and garish. I would be actually ashamed to have those in my house and wouldn't want to know anybody who had to show off like this.

What I find really funny is that modern design is turning into my mid 2000s era sims kitchen.

Those wine storage examples were way over the top!! Wowza.

That blue marble is honestly the most stunning stone I've ever seen!! Absolutely beautiful.

Honestly, even design-wise, is it really good to have a kitchen with one color AND texture from head to bottom? All so glossy and shiny? Even the old all white kitchens are much more beautiful

Love the idea of hidden appliances. I hate seeing my kurig and toaster. I am renting but ONE DAY I will have some fancy way of hiding them!

Love that you pick up on the differences between american and european design. Would be interesting to highlight differenes in other design areas. For example, no one does panelling on their walls here in germany.

So useful! We are planning our kitchen now and there are so many beautiful ideas here 😃❤

Finally, a trends 2023 on YouTube that actually captures the trends. I assume that’s because you also looked at European trends. Being European I do feel that American interior design can be a little „behind“ at times. So, thanks for closing that gap. I was excited to see you mentioned pull out fridges. We just got one in 2022. Plus: no upper cabinets and an induction stove in our kitchen. Love your profound videos!

Integrated appliances are pretty normal here in germany since decades 😃

I just painted all my walls Sherwin-Williams accessible beige 7036 it's so light and airy. Beige is the new color if you don't want to go dark. just painted this color over my gray walls. Then I painted my cabinets evergreen fog by Sherwin-Williams. It's so beautiful. And my trim is a natural wood stain color.

Gorgeous kitchens! I'm loving the trends. While I would love to redo my kitchen there are some things I can do to refresh and update. Thank you for this video! It's very helpful!

I really can’t help it — I really dislike marble when it’s overdone -

This has been my trend for years 😂. I design and decorate according to my taste and likes, and not the trends. Like what is dear to my heart, example: sweet memories when growing up... dark, warm, cozy and moody is what I grew up with. Part of my design takes me back to my grandmother's kitchen in France (dad's side) and my other grandmother's outdoor dark moody kitchen in spain (mother's side). I've mixed both, and I cant tell you how much I love my kitchen and to cook in it. My family/friends rather hang out in the kitchen than any other place in my house 🤔. They love the ambience in my kitchen.

And lastly I definitely would NEVER EVER EVER give up my gas stove... you've lost your damn mind. 😂

We have an induction oven and it was horrible, the food doesn't taste the same. That baby was removed and donated after a year of use. This is one trend ibdo not recommend, not if you're a chef at heart.
