I watched an interview Derek did where he explained why he shook Kelli at the very end...this was the first time they went through the dance completely! They never finished practicing it fully until that night and he shook her because he was excited that they did it! So good!!

It's been almost 10 years and I still pull this up and watch it now and again. Derek's choreography was genius and in Kellie he had the dream partner who could perform every move with elegance and beauty. Best performance of DWTS. BTW, I loved it when Kellie grabbed Tom in a big hug. She KNEW she had done a superlative job and like a child she could not contain her exuberance.
