Number 9: don't toss away energy bar and gel wrappers. Put them in a pocket, or under the hem of the leg of your shorts, and dispose of them appropriately and lawfully at your next stop.

No. 9 Not What To Do. Don't pass another cyclist who is stopped by the roadside taking a wheel off or looking at their bike as if there's something wrong: always slow down and confirm with them that they are OK. If they need help, stop.

2:42 I wouldn't advise telling a stranger that they shouldn't be wearing underpants. Wars are started by less than this.

Don't lift but do body weight exercises. Push ups, back lifts, planks, mountain climbers, burpees, squats etc. All these build core strength in the comfort of anywhere!

I think the look down on other cyclists is the most important.

+1 on NOT running red lights and stop signs, or other forms of breaking traffic laws. Please, just don't. It makes us all look bad.

Once had incredible luck when riding with my hands off the the bar and a rather strong wind caught my front wheel and I made an inelegant u-turn which was really a close call. But hey, I did not crash! :)

GCN, before I became a cyclist, I used to lift quite a lot and spend so much time in the gym lifting but after I got into cycling, the massive arms and shoulders are almost gone.... and yes within 12 months of cycling. I'm left with girly arms and shaved legs😂😂😂 #LoveCycling

Love the vids, but sorry, disagree witrh lifting weights in the gym. Having a strong core, and tonned torso helps prevent injury and assists in power transfer to the legs.... Now, I am not saying become Mr Olympia - far from it - but I do recommend getting to the gym and lifting weights.

NSAM qualified instructor for 30+ years and avid (hilly) cyclist since there are no flat areas here in Hong Kong... just hills.
