Adjust the floor lamp so the bottom edge of the lighting is shone at the edge of your table. Your vision (seating position) is looking from outside the scope of the lighting and onto the reading material thus it protects your eyes from the glaring overhead lighting. Use brightness adjustable and colour type adjustable light bulb.
