Consider the dandelion. One name for the plant in Gaelic is Bearnan Brid. Literally "the broken teeth of Brighid". Certainly seems to allude to a crone aspect for Brighid. Looking at the plant itself it appear to have a sun/snow polarity.
There's also the drink dandelion and burdock. Have a closer look at the burdock. Seeded at midsummer and harvested 3 to 4 months later. Timing seems suspicious.

Brighid and Morrigan come to me at the same time a lot. Their energies circling. I like that she has solar energy as a Goddess. I live my life through the power of words. I wake up writing and sleep writing and speaking. This was a fantastic video. Thank you for sharing your impressions and experiences. Time travel and shape shifting through time. Love the seer poets.

OMG, I started working with Brighid first, and the Morrigan used my connection to Brighid to bring me to her. I'd literally follow Brighid as she ran through the fields and to the Morrigan's cave and there the Morrigan would be standing in her most formidable aspect. I was obviously not getting the hint, so the Morrigan SLEW Brighid right before my eyes. Of course goddesses don't die (and Brighid still appears to me from time to time), but I guess the Morrigan felt it necessary to assert her dominance in that way. It was INTENSE.

I'm a writer/poet. My best works were considered dark, and some not necessarily dark, simply speaking truth in depth. Always channeled/ I am also a seer. I have pix of shapeshifting fire and myself. Wow!!! I just heard that part! Goddess Aine, Brigid, and Morrigm gave me this gift I had no interest in whatsoever!

Brighde has been my inner chylde
Bride has been my maturing guide
Brigit has been my mother in wyld
Briganntia is my ocean tide
She is the raw first light of hope
The cauldron handle so we may cope
With any fire that threatens to fuse
The many forms that iften confuse
Yet all are of one true heatless flame
And with her kindling we are all of the same
To forge ahead and shoot true and clear
And reunite all our ashes into a whole right here xxx

I feel exactly like you do on this Monolatrist impulse and it makes me wonder how many of her children feel like they need to learn of the Tua de Dannaan but only give her worship...I honor the Norse gods as well and feel strong interest in Tyr due to being a veteran...just like with her dark ladyship...

Does it make sense that The Morrigan might help someone be strong through a really tough time of life? Sending signs to remind them to stay strong. Remind them to keep fighting?

How accurate do think this is? I would be grateful for the feedback.

Cador wondered if his trepidation was a kin to how a bride felt before her handfasting. He would be the center of attention for the assembled gathering, but the end of the ceremony would lead to something far more taxing than even a wedding night, Cador just hoped it all worked out well.
The mist hung over the forest as the group silently walked toward the old stone circle. The holy place had once been surrounded by meadows and farmsteads. However, the forest had reclaimed the land around the monoliths. The Celti kept the central area free of vegetation allowing one solitary Rowan tree to prosper, growing directly in the middle of the ring of rocks. The place had lost none of its religious significance even though most of the people who revered it couldn’t speak the ancient Prydain language of its builders. Myrddin led the possession as it solemnly passed through the two guardian stones and entered the holy space. Myrddin was fluent in the ancient tongue of the old ones and asked permission of their spirits before starting the ceremony. Nodding his head, all-present presumed that his petition had been answered positively.
Myrddin chanted from the oldest song that he knew whilst offering Cador a drink from a large earthenware bowl. The mixture had taken Myrddin a long time to produce largely because the ingredients had proved more difficult to find than he had expected. After searching for hours Myrddin had finally caught a glimpse of the red stool fungi in the corner of his eye, flecked with white there was no doubt that this was what he was looking for. Pushing a piece of rotting wood to one side Myrddin plucked the mushroom and was lucky enough to find three more not long afterwards. Had the concoxion been prepared for a lesser occasion Myrddin would have made do by adding more of the dull brown capped mushrooms that were much more common. Truth be told the more common variety of mushroom was the most potent but for this mixture it was important that it was combined with its more colourful counterpart.
Even whilst offering Cador the sacred brew he was just a little tempted to take a sip himself. However, honourng the occasion Cador was allowed to empty the bowl. Myrddin took the delicately intertwined willow sticks that had been fashioned into a necklace and placed it around Cador’s neck as Cador started to show a hint of glassiness in his eyes. Flanked by two men wearing the heads of deer, Cador was led from the sacred place and taken deep into the forest. He couldn’t remember the two men leaving him but was becoming ever more aware of the natural world around him.
Cador walked on alone along the track that ran beside a stream, aware of every sound that the natural world around him made. He was aware too that the natural world knew of his presence and though not preoccupied with him the forest was watchful. Suddenly the path turned sharply to reveal a small waterfall as it cascaded over green clad rocks. As Cador watched the water appeared to slow just for an instant. The breeze stilled and mist began to settle around the trees at the top of the waterfall. Cador thought it strange, mist usually formed in dips and crevices but he expected to encounter many strange things on this journey and moved toward where the forest appeared to be leading him. Eventually the track almost ended just marked by a few damp and slippy stones. Cador knew that he had to continue. The journey to the top of the waterfall was far from a pleasant experience, often sliding on uncertain footing Cador sported a few bruises on knees and shins before reaching the top of the rise. The stream was small though and Cador easily stepped over it. As he proceeded the path became broader but more indistinct as it entered the undulating mist. Colours faded and every piece of vegetation seemed to move through the activity of some sort of animal or another. Then the harsh caw of a crow was answered by the howl of a wolf and all movement in the forest ceased.
In front of Cador, blocking his path appeared a group of wolves. Larger than those Cador had encountered before, more muscular too but by far their most intimidating feature were their eyes that glowed with a dull red menace. Every canid stare was focus on Cador as the lead wolf opened his mouth in a snarling smile, a full set of predatory teeth directed toward the audacious Celti, the man who had dared to enter the wolves territory. Slowly, Cador started to back away whilst maintaining eye contact. The wolves moved forward slowly too to maintain their distance. Then Cador slipped and though he quickly regained his balance the wolves speeded up their approach. In panic he turned and ran toward the forests dominant feature. The yew tree, it was very old. It spread over and enclosed a large area. At the centre the tree was split into two huge twisted old trunks. Its limbs reached for the sky whilst also sending forth branches to reconnect with the Earth. Cador ran for all he was worth opening his mouth as wide as possible to take in just that bit more air. He could hear the wolves and knew that they were very close but dare not look. He was focused on his goal the yew tree. Launching himself at the straighter of the two trunks Cador just avoided the lead wolf. But the lead wolf hadn’t given up so easily and scramble to obtain a foothold. This environment suited Cador better than the wolves and he soon climbed to safety his heart beating like a drum and stomach churning.
Another call of the crow and the wolves lay passively at the base of the tree as the forest re awakened to its constantly changing song.
The top of the trunk had been hollowed out slightly into a bowl about half the height of a man. The canopy of the great tree spread out below him. Cador took the opportunity to pier through gaps in the foliage and monitor his pursuers. The wolves were content to lie in the shade and showed little interest in moving away. Cador accepted the situation and sat back to take a rest. However, his eyes were immediately drawn to the pile of leaves and debris at his side. A white dome shaped bone shone in the fading light of the evening sun. Cleaning away the accumulation of leaves and moss a whole skull soon smiled back, was it laughing at Cadors predicament or it’s own fate? Cador wasn’t sure but the necklace of intertwined willow that hung around the skeleton’s neck gave Cador more than a little food for thought.

Thank you for doing this series! I recently started working with Morrigan *about 2 months* and was referred to your series by one of my favorite yt people WyllowWynd The Thrifty Witch. I look forward to this series both to learn about Morrigan but also further learning of the Irish lore.

When I was younger I followed the Morrigan and I still do in ways, but I felt I had been getting messages from Brighid, even before I knew who she was. I think it's interesting that you as well came to both of them. Thanks for posting your experiences. It is helpful for me to find others focusing on my ancestral faith.

Joey, this was such a beautiful video and I love that you're going to do the whole pantheon. I have to say I have two goddesses, the Morrigan and Brigid. They came to me about the same time and appear to me as Mother and Daughter (Dagda is the father of Brigid, whom we know has had relations with the Morrigan and I have yet to find a name for her mother). I had a very similar experience/vision — the Morrigan is my Mother and Brigid comes across very sister-like and the word "sister" came to me during my Imbolc ritual. I don't like to use that word, because I feel like sisters are equal, and saying that I am an equal to Brigid is something that really does not sit well with me and should be insulting to Brigid — which is something I would never do. However, my jaw hit the floor when you told that story — I can so relate and am so very happy you did this video. I experience the both of them very similarly to the way you have shared and many of your videos are validations for me. Thank you so much and please keep posting! Many many many blessings to you, my sister!! )O(

Hello, Joey, and blessed be...I love this video. But I would like to know if you see me as a new daughter of the Goddess Morrigan with having a spiritual connection to Brigit... I'll be putting up a second video upon my experiences within nature soon, so I hope you will watch it. Again, blessed be!

Ever since I did the little picture of the Morrigan, I have been really Fascinated with her. I know very Little of her so far But i too dont agree with the name Dark Goddess. I can see Def. were that would come in but i think people confuse "dark" with Passion... It will be interesting  for you to see where this takes you...

I'm loving this video Jo, fantastic I'm so looking forward to seeing how you progress with the celtic pantheon. They way in which you have described the energies you felt with Brigit is very similar to how I feel about sulis, a solar deity crossed with minerva. Only I see her as a definite seperate deity xx

Loved this, so informative! Especially the quirky bits about the goddesses personalities. I love when people include that in their deity videos. :)
