Was argentina doing OK before Milei? No. There is no cure without pain.

This is exactly what happened in Poland when we transformed from Socialism/Communist to Free Market Capitalism, and look at Poland now!

Man, 55% disapproval are actually not so bad if you want to actually cut inflation

As a Greek EVERYBODY hated our governments when they started making the reforms and believe me some still think the reforms weren't necessary...the people can't understand why they can't continue living like they did...reforms are hard and they ruin lives but will give the next generations a hope for the future

It truly amazes me the media criticizing Milei's policies when they are only 4 months old, like Y2Y inflation the guys is there for 4 months, how can you evaluate this 12 months policy ? Another BS thrown at us the poverty rate, like the guy is there for 4 months there is no way that he could be blamed for that since poverty rate was already sky rocketing and when he got into office it was already 50%. Also the currency devaluation BS, people were already using the devaluated currency, for example if you go to a restaurante there the exchange rate was 1 USD -> 1000 Pesos, what Milei actually did was remove the price control.

Inflation is now lower than when he found it. He's pulled off a goddamn miracle in less than 6 months. Hopefully, the economy starts growing now and gets him even more support in the next elections so he can make even bigger changes.

There is a conspicuous absence of controversy in the comment section. International media's tendency to paint Melei as controversial hasn't taken hold.

Inflation is lower each month. Milei's popularity is still high.
What are your sources??

He's a genius. When he's finished sorting out Argentina, please can he sort out the UK too?

I hope that the Argentines will have enough patience to see this through and reap the benefits, but their track record raises concerns that they will

I visit Argentina 🇦🇷 often. As a Canadian 🇨🇦 I can say the Argentinian 🇦🇷 president is absolutely right in taking his country to good way. Yes the population is feeling the pain heavily.

1st, the whole devaluation of the peso was approached as a "Sinceramiento" (basically, coming clean about something). Milei said that if the government is not going to sell you USD at the official rate, the REAL rate became the illegal price (the Dolar Blue, the USD Black Market), The ramifications of that Sinceramiento are way too complex for a Youtube comment. So I won't be going into that. I just wanted to put more context because it sounds as if he just did it for the lols

2nd, the public image of Milei is NOT going down, I don't know where you got those numbers, but over here, metrics show that 75% think that they'll be financially better off by 2025

3rd the Labor market reform has been approved last week

My grandpa did not fight in WW2 and settle in Argentina to watch it fall apart. He'd be ashamed.
RIP Friedrich Mueller.

The reforms are going to be tough, but they'll be better off in the long run. Judge him by the end of his term. He might even need two terms.

This is the shock that Argentina really needed

When Milei finishes the job, I ask Argentine to send him to Victoria Australia. We need him here.

So Argentina is basically not 'recovering' so much as becoming a 'normal' economy 😅
But yes, real 'recovery' will almost certainly come once things stabilise, as they increasingly are doing. Prices will continue to go to what ought to always have been, and wages will rise to compensate accordingly.

Great video as usual guys!

As an Argentine myself i find odd when someone try to explain infaltion. I put it simply for you folks, Infaltion is the AVERAGE of the increase on retails prices of a basquet/group of goods, wich is sustained during an X period. The tricky thing is many goods and services aren`t included (for example fruits and vegetables due their stacionality ) (A goverment CAN INCLUDE/EXCLUDE GOODS to modify % of inflation) I`m being redundant that is an average for the ones who, luckily, only know inflation from textbooks.
