As strong winds continued to batter Southern California, a large brush fire broke out in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades on Tuesday.

Fire crews were battling a handful of fast-moving fires in the Los Angeles hillsides and residents living in the area of the Pacific Palisades were forced to evacuate their homes.

The Palisades Fire swiftly consumed about 772 acres of dry brush as of 2 p.m. PT. The blaze sent up a huge plume of smoke visible across the city. Residents in Venice Beach, some 6 miles away, reported seeing the flames.

The blaze was one of nearly 8,000 wildfires that added up to scorch more than 1,560 square miles in the Golden State last year.

Most of these fires are intentional, is like arsonist wait for the winds to pickup to strike.
I hope that all residents and their pets are safe and wildlife too.

Please talk about all of the home owner insurance companies pulling out of CA exactly for this reason. I have hared several major home owner insurance companies started pulling out of CA and not renewing polices starting in early 2024. For Fire risks to reduce their exposure to losses due to this type of risks. I am sure this is going to be a "hot" topic when the smoke settles. What will our governor do?

Do you think God stays in Heaven because He lives in fear of what He’s created here on Earth?
