I have a family that lives across the road with 6 children and all home schooled. They are the most politest, always helping with inside and outside chores and smart as a whip. Always curious and wanting to learn different things. Where the other kids on the street are buried in their cell phones and won’t give you the time of day even to say hello. So bottom line, you don’t get quality teaching including manners at a regular school. That’s home grown.

I homeschooled my children k-12, now I am a homeschool grandmom. Homeschooling is really a way of life and very natural.

Homeschooling 4 kids now and I thought I was failing until about a year into it and then I realized how much the kids had learned and improved and especially socially and behaviorally and in confidence. Best decision I ever made. I love my kids and truly enjoy being around them

I got some side-eye when I wanted to homeschool my children. 5 years later and I'm so vindicated. Videos like this feel like a cultural victory.

I've been a public school social studies educator for 28 years, my wife came to me with the idea of homeschooling our son 17 years ago. We homeschooled him for about 5 years and went through all of the programs that were mentioned in the video. He is now in a charter school for high school and his writing level, critical thinking skills and reasoning skills are far beyond the high schoolers that I teach in the same city. I would recommend it to anyone!

I have a 6 year old son with autism that I took out of public school because I see the potential in him to be great (as all parents see in their children) and I felt that the public school environment (after much trial/error/heartache/tears) was not the right fit for him to learn in, much less socialize in. The environment overwhelmed him so much he would shut down and withdraw. So he was seen as the “sweet kid” and “no trouble” when really he figured out early on that if he could blend in the background and mask how he’s really feeling then they’ll leave him alone. And he also learned if he had a mini meltdown he’d get to go into the calm quiet corner away from everyone and hide. If you ask me that’s no way for a kid to thrive, much less my son. Since taking him out of school, his capacity to flourish astounds me.

I pulled my kids 10 years ago when Canadian schools were going woke. I’m a single mom with unstable income and it was completely worth it. I have friendships with my young adults that are exciting and hopeful. God makes a way - go for it! ☺️🙌🏽

Baby #5 on the way. I give all my kiddos a classical education homeschool atmosphere from the start and I also start them late on formal curriculum, or do two years of kindergarten, so they can have a really solid foundation to spring from. My kiddo will start 1st grade level work in June but he reads at a 5th grade level. His ability to communicate with people at any age and stage is incredible. Homeschooling is phenomenal and I love that I can meet my children where they are and bring out their strengths.

Almost all the homeschooled kids I have known plus the families I have watched on tv or follow online are some of the most talented, skilled, and well-rounded people I have ever seen.

My homeschooled kids have already done more in their lives than I did my entire childhood. And in their co-op group, the kids are all kind for the most part.

I have heard that 20% of the worst case scenario homeschooled child will turn out better than 90% of a public schooled child. I am a testament to that... I floundered in my twenties only to go to a trade school to get a job as an electrician at $30hr. I only worked two hours a night on night shift and decided to spend the other 6 hours educating myself in real estate. Now through trial and error worth 7 figures only because of my homeschool education and the ability to ask "why". No public school allows you to ask WHY?

Classical Conversations is an incredible program. My older 2 are finishing their 4th year of foundations (elementary) and my oldest just finished 1st year of essentials (grammar+writing). I've learned more history, geography, science and English grammar in these 4 years than I've ever learned in my life - and I was an AP English student and graduated Cum Laude from one of the absolute top state universities in the country. We have a strong CC community in Miami and it's so awesome to see the older kids do incredible things and thrive and go on to be incredible adults. Our homeschool is still pretty eclectic but we've found our groove and my kids are thriving - even with my husband and I running a business and two toddlers running around. I will do anything I can to continue hsing my kids!

Children naturally want to learn. We as homeschoolers, don’t stifle our children’s questions and curiosity.

Home schooled my whole life. Homeschooling my 3 kids. We get a lot of compliments from people at the store, church, the park, everywhere.

Some children are tougher to teach. Some are easier. But its a very short window we have to impact our children. We work with who they are.

There are some lost financial opportunities, but we would rather have children who grow up intelligent and well adjusted rather than a nice wine closet.

I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ that are homeschooling their children! My little boy starts kindergarten this year and my baby girl will follow. God bless

Always nice to see advocates for homeschooling! My kids were in public school for three years. We then decided to pull them out to homeschool. Our kids are quadruplets and one of our kids has an intellectual disability. We thought the special education department would have more experience with teaching her. When we pulled our kids out to homeschool, I had to start her at the beginning with review. When we finished homeschooling she was ahead of where they said she would be.
Our kids loved to read and we always received compliments on how well behaved they were. They also made high scores on their ACT.
Homeschooling, if done well is hard work, but well worth it!

Coming from a family that homeschooled all 4 kids from the start, it really bumped them ahead in school. All 4 were put into local HS but were way ahead of their grade level. All 4 graduated w honors and went to college. Despite how some homeschooled kids are not well adjusted socially, we made sure they were in sports and other activities. All of them were able to play HS sports and a couple at the college level. It was the best thing ever to give them a great foundation. My wife did all the teaching. I helped with them learning sports and music.
