Ukraine Crisis: Russia 'continuing military build-up'

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says there is no sign of Russia de-escalating on the border with Ukraine.

Mr Stoltenberg said Moscow was instead continuing to increase its military presence.

He was speaking ahead of a NATO meeting in Brussels.

Russia said yesterday it was pulling some of its troops away from Ukraine's border.

The US really wouldn't tolerate nukes on its borders. The world might have got destroyed during the Cuban Missile crisis as a result of this pretty reasonable stance. Of course, no-one else is allowed to be upset about this sort of thing. The expansion of NATO from 1989 to the present day looks like someone having a particularly lucky game of RISK.
