The combination of the spooky and suspenseful writings with the dark art work created a very unique reading experience for the time. I still have some art books with these illustrations in. H Clarke's work is astounding & makes me feel he was an anachronism, I also enjoyed reading Poe.
This is a keeper for me a blast to the past, it makes me want to get out all my old art materials. Thank you kindly dear DEAD you always find the awesome.
