If the first opition doesnt work and registry editing is not something you want to try just yet, try going to the Devices and Printers in Control Panel, selecting Add device, Add your device from those listed (mak sure its in pairing mode), and then when it asks for a passcode, click the "add passcode on device instead" link. This worked for me.

I just figured out how for a keyboard.

When it comes up on the PC, select it and type any pin you can remember, push connect. Then type the same numbers on your keyboard while the PC is trying to connect, hit enter. It'll connect.

I don't know why it was made to be such a difficult thing to find. Everyone else is pretending that to connect this keyboard is as easy as adding it in the Bluetooth devices option and it will work every time. You really saved the day for me with this video!

The second piece of advice 'regedit'> 'delete folder' worked for me - thanks!
My bluetooth apple key board kept asking me to enter a pin, which i do not know, rather than the usual method of providing me with a pin. This made my window 10 PC revert back to this option which worked fine ressolved my issue - thank you.

The first option did not work but the second option worked as a charm so much so I used the same blue tooth keyboard to type my comments.. I am so pleased

Before doing the last option, you may want to right click the folder and clicking "export" before deleting. Therefore if it does not work, you can always reimport via File > Import

Had the issue that I ignored the PIN and it did not show up a second time - DELETING THE RE ENTRY HELPED and brought back the PIN - just entered it on the keyboard followed by ENTER and voila - it worked :-D ! Thx buddy !!

I can confirm that this video works.

My problem was that my keyboard used to give me a 6 digit number to type in. But now it asks for a pin. And would never connect.
