i like it way more that city of heroes. for one the graphics and another reason is there is different travel powers besides jump speed and flight. i mean like u can swing like spiderman or surf on ice or fire flight

This review makes me smile, because what a lot of companies don't seem to get is simple.

Gameplay mechanics can be hard to fix, but content can always be added easily.

It hasn't been out 6 months yet, this game will be great.

Champions Online is free to play now.Players do also have the option to become a Gold Member for $14.99 a month, which unlocks all of the game's existing content, allows for classic CO freeform character progression, and also grants Members a stipend of 400 Cryptic Points to use in the C-Store every month.

I hit level 40 a week ago. I have a level 32, and a couple of level 20 somethings. This review is pretty much spot on.

I do think the Nemesis part warranted a brief mention. They showed a lot of footage from Nemesis missions, but didn't really mention it. And in my opinion, the Nemesis missions are the best part of the game.

But this game is SEVERELY lacking in content, and there is no "end game." This a MMO where you actually feel like you've finished it rather than just burn out on it.

@Wansomer so let me ask you, once i make my character, can i change its clothes later own? cause i started yesterday, right now, the first hour is kinda slow(unlike DC universe with a nice story and open world right off the bat), but it seems promising ^_^, and any game that really lets me great a Tiger Character makes me happy.

@Realistic82 I'v played the DC Universe BETA for about... oh, maybe 2 weeks or so, and I must say: I CAN'T *STAND* TO BE WITHOUT IT! This has been the hardest wait for ANY game in all of my 15 years if gaming! Only 5 days until the 11th! I'm currently installing Champions Online just to pass the time until DCUO hits the shelves! :D I pre-ordered Collector's Edition from Best Buy and C A N 'T wait! Best MMO I'v ever played. I'v played WoW, SWG, AoC, CoH, Aion, etc, none sucked me in like DC!

Couple things about this review. He mostly complains about lack of content, but what the truth is that the content is mostly in the diversity of the character builds and experimenting with what powers work great together. Also, if an MMO comes out with a TON of content at the beginning, then there's no room for the game to grow and the players would get bored. All in all, this is the best MMO available right now. And with the game coming out for the 360 soon, everyone should give this game a try

Either You have to have a Wired Controller or Wireless Receiver. The USB Charge Cable doesn't work. I've tried it so I ended up buying the Receiver a while back to play batman AA and such. But its worth it and most PC games support it nowadays.

this video was spot on when the game was released, however, since then alot has changed, you dont need to do the same quests over to level up, and they've added new instance quests (if you enjoy instancing)
also they've added a zombie survival pvp mode (that you can level up from!)
they've sorted out most of the lag and slowdowns and "most" of the skills have been balanced.

I actually started playing it a while back myself. Its not as entertaining as before. I got the Duel pistol deal to see if it will help bring back some life to the game... its a du power set but in the end I am sure Ill get tierd of it since all you get is a new bit of powers to play the same lvls.

I just started on the heros side so hope that will make it worth while for a bit.

Question... how many new areas have the added to the game since launch? I haven't played enough to be able to tell.

its sort of true that there is little content, but I like the way it keeps the players together, which makes party forming easier. Also theres a big choice at the start of which of two huge areas to go to so theres at least enough content to play the game to max level twice over and never see the same stuff.

I don't have access to the full game; I bought it, but I'm waiting for some things on my card to clear up before I can buy the subscription and get out of the tutorial area. But I suppose, even then, I could do JUST that. I'll just have to download FRAPS, and I'll let you know when I have it up. If you have a mouse wheel, you can zoom in and out. You can zoom into an almost FPS-ish look if you want, although it isn't very nice.

I got this game today and am having a blast, make sure to remove the comic outline as it makes the game look sooo much better without that thick black line, u can find it in the video settings.

After all the negative comments i been reading about this game i must say im quite impressed, then again im not one to rush to level cap and complain theres no endgame content after only 4weeks of being released. i guess ill see what its like once i get there.

i strongly recommend this game!

Ive spent days trying to decide which class i want... after much deleting and customizing i wanted a ranged person but finally went for the blade ninja man. My dude is awesome.
