Gold Panning Abandoned Gold Mine in Swedish Lapland! We are gold prospecting a secret spot where we have heard rumors that geologists have found lots of gold in the 70's.

The True Vikings got the Gold Rush and we had to go gold panning equipped with the Garrett Gold Panning and Minelab Pro-Gold kit! We had heard rumors about an abandoned gold mine in the middle of the forest and that geologists had found lots of gold by gold panning the rivers that run close to it in the 1970's. We of course had to go check out if the rumors are true. It was a fantastic day gold prospecting and gold panning for the first time ever and we will definitely be back!

With new pans they have oil on them from the production process so you should scrub them with dish soap really well. Then take a good hand full of gravel and run the inside of your pan with it to create micro grooves for the gold and black sand to get stuck on.

That was fun. Drive closer saves energy. Years ago I used to have a pet creek near my town that I used to pan in. After a few years, I sold 6 oz. of gold. A lot of it was specked. Find a bottom and pan the material you find there. One of those creeks draining that mine area will have good gold.

Well done !! Gold is where you find it. Magnetite is a good indicator so you were close ! Check in behind the bigger rocks thats where it usually drops out. A big HI from Canada in the BC gold fields !

Fun video. The pan with the holes is called a classifier. At least that’s what it was called in other videos I watched. It would seem that you would have some luck around that location. You might consider taking a metal detector with you on the next outing. Thanks for sharing your experience. Best of luck on your next outing.

I hope things will look up from the next goldpanning video onwards.
Otherwise, I can take you guys out on a proper goldpanning and goldsniping trip. You guys can take me up in my offer and will succes in finding good gold👍🏻 a little advice for you guys is to drop lots of gravel in your brand new pans and get rough with it. This way your pans will be scratched at the bottom as they will hold gold much better and also use a lot of dishwashing soap and scrub the inside of the pan with it. It will break up surface tension😉

I've always wanted to pan for gold. I think in the right conditions it could be one of the most enjoyable and rewarding hobbies! Of course location location location! I think panning for gold is better than magnet fishing! Just my opinion!
