So good!! I remember meeting Ronnie Montrose at a friend's house, couple decades ago or so. A friend made his speakers. I was there just hanging out and in walked Ronnie. We hung out.. he went out to his car and brought back this purple silk, black lace photo album his sister in law (or someone of that sort) made him and he gave it to me.. lol. Still got it. Also got to hang out again, same friend, same place but this time I had my well worn Paper Money album which he signed. Oh the stories I could tell ya! Like singing to Bill Graham on the phone while the goalie of the Oakland Stompers soccer team was showering lol. Back stage via Bill (RIP) at Oaklands Days on the Green, etc etc. Truly some magical days. (He nicknamed me 'The Third Wilson Sister' as in Heart) I often wonder how my life would have turned out if he hadn't passed tragically and if I hadnt run off with the tire installer/drummer guy at 17.. lol. I'm always being told I should write a book! It's just amazing that Im still here.. survived all the crazy stupid, decades of "partying like a rock star"! Gratefully sober today! Was a chronic relapser.. now I have a decade of sobriety! Wow.. guess I needed to share!! Music sure does transport you back in time!

Sounds like the beginning of Motley Crue, Kickstart my Heart .
We know where Crue got that !!

I used to road for a older high school friend and his band mates. I asked him once what he thought of several guitarists of the day. The only reaction I remembered was his opinion of Ronnie Montrose. He described him as an electric bull moose - an apt description. He was the first really hard rock guitarist I heard growing up (discounting Jimi Hendrix - totally different play style). I used to measure all other guitarists against him until EVH got noticed, then famous. Still, Ronnie was ahead of his time.

Your daddy's farm? My Grandfather was the last man in my family to have a farm and he died old in 1995.
