Making A **NO CO2** Dutch Hybrid Planted Aquarium | MD Fish Tanks

Many of you suggested I do this when you saw the storage tank. I decided to put a little twist on the traditional dutch aquarium style and a little stone boarder in the foreground. Loving how it's turned out and should look amazing in a months time.

It’s amazing to see how the tank blooms upwards as the water fills the tank. It’s like the plants are waving hello and clapping their hands for their awesome scape. Wonderful content

As another commented, if you are planning to use plastidip or other peel coat paints put down 5-6 decent layers or you are going to have an impossibly hard time peeling it off. If you try to peel it off and find its difficult you can try adding more layers, letting it fully dry, then having another attempt. Make sure you do it in a very well ventilated area as this stuff is nasty toxic when being sprayed, and I often still recommend a facemask that filters organics (designed for painting, fibreglass resins, pesticides etc). Its much much worse than normal spray paint I promise you!

MD you ever do an update on this tank?! I'd absolutely love to see you do a massive tank that's 100% a Dutch style aquarium. Zero rocks. All I see online is nano tank style dutch aquariums. You have a crazy amount of plants and id love to see a 4 foot+ sized Dutch one! Low tech!! Then trimmed broccoli style over time .Would look so so good!!!

MD if you will lower water level to the bottom of Hang On The Back filter outflow ramp. Just that water would cover few mm of the ramp, water from the filter will not drop down to the bottom of the tank but instead will jet on the surface. Try it, on my filter AQUAEL FZN-2 it is like I described. It has small lip a the bottom of the outflow ramp, if I looked close enough seems your also has.

Idea: For your next aquarium, try perhaps doing something that is similar to the Buddah aquarium. Something like Stonehenge, or the Easter Island head's, in the instance where the aquarium would be fully carpeted, resembling the grounds on which the Stonehenge or island heads stood on.

Just an idea I thought would be fun to implement 🙃

I've been waiting for this video! I have a 20 gal long tank I'm about to setup and I want to do a dutchstyle type of tank but not soooo densely planted. This tank came out amazing! I love the rocks!! Thanks for the awesome video!
