Yes & No. I doubt this overly positive view of quantum computing in AI. So I ask Claud2 AI. Here is AI's answer, which aligns with my limited understanding of this topic.

Quantum computing and AI represent two extremely promising but complex technologies that could synergize in impactful ways in the future. However, effectively combining them is still highly challenging:

1) Quantum computers are still in very early developmental stages, with limited capabilities compared to classical systems. Current quantum computers are not yet performant enough to offer advantages over classical AI.
2) The algorithms, software, and programming techniques for quantum machine learning are still evolving rapidly. We don't yet know the optimal strategies for quantum-based AI.
3) Mapping AI algorithms like neural networks to fit the constraints of quantum hardware is extremely difficult. The environments have very different assumptions.
4) Quantum computing introduces completely new paradigms like superposition, entanglement, and interference that don't have intuitive analogs in classical AI.
5) There is a shortage of quantum programmers and researchers who deeply understand quantum information science and AI. Interdisciplinary skillsets take time to develop.
6) Accessing and using existing quantum computers requires specialized knowledge and tools that most AI developers and researchers currently lack.
7) Applying quantum techniques to large neural networks or massive training datasets common in AI may be unfeasible with current or near-term quantum hardware.

While the potential to accelerate AI through quantum computing is very exciting, it likely requires significant further advances in quantum hardware development, quantum-specific algorithms, mitigation of noise and errors, and education of quantum-AI hybrid researchers and engineers. We are still in the early exploratory phases. Combining these complex technologies in impactful ways may take considerable time, effort, and ingenuity.
