Climate change and the challenge of long-term thinking | Adam Sobel | TEDxBroadway

Adam Sobel doesn't want to prove that climate change is real. If you don't believe yet, he's confident you will eventually. Instead, what he wants to do is help our decision making about long-term events with future consequences to be better. He talks about climate change and how it has already and will continue to affect New York City, and how everyone should be thinking differently.

Adam Sobel is a professor at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He is an atmospheric scientist who specializes in the dynamics of climate and weather, particularly in the tropics, on time scales of days to decades.

just for a different perspective, watch Patrick Moore and Lord Moncktons presentations on this topic. Maybe some will start questioning why we all fund Sobel & Co on their trips to the Arctic.

That yidiot cannot predict what hurricane ISAIAS is going to do next week and he wants us to believe him that he knows how the much more complex planetary climate system will behave... Well, if we indeed warm then we will lose ice mass which means less reflection of Solar radiation within the atmosphere which will mean... cooling... That's what the Greenhouse effect is... I guess the Yidiot was so genious that he skipped High School and College and went straight into teaching at Columbia University!
