Countries around the world are being told they must agree to phase out the use of coal power, to prevent catastrophic global warming.

Ahead of the latest climate change summit in the UK, nations have been negotiating a timetable to stop burning the fossil fuel, which emits vast quantities of carbon dioxide.

But many poorer and developing nations depend on coal for their energy. India is one country that is still building new coal-fired power stations, as it seeks to provide electricity for it vast population.

Huw Edwards presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Rajini Vaidyanathan from the east Indian state of Odisha.

Britain has sucked out billion of pounds from India, let squire that up before lecturing all these things. There is a great change in scenario in last 10 years, LPG is being accessible to greater numbers of people, you only show one instance and try to paint entire country bad. Indian news channel don’t show interest in you, otherwise we can also show many bad examples to expose how your economy is decaying continuously

Can the poor around the world pay for Net Zero? Who benefits, and who loses? It would be unfair game for those who need any energy for living which they can pay.

The lesson of this video is….poor people don’t care about the environment. All they can care about is making it day to day. That’s why green initiatives that make the cost of life more expensive are self defeating.

The carbon tax should be calculating the historical cumulative carbon emissions per country per capita . The developing countries should just set their own rules than been played by developed countries.
