A friend gave me a "Bubblegum Hit Pack" from the 60's and this song
I grabbed cause it was the most "unbalanced" recording. I tried to fix the stereo imaging with electric guitar, drums and keyboard to a more enjoyable listening experience. Sounded good in the headphones and studio monitors. Hope you like it!

This song badly needed to be enhanced - seems like nobody ever got it right until I heard this version (I was kinda hoping to hear the 'aah, aah...' in the background at 0:42 - 0:46 a little better but it's the best sound yet). 👍 💯

Legend has it that the real “Ohio Express” was forced to play this bubblegum classic even though they were NOT the “Ohio Express” that laid down this track! Because of legalese, the fake band changed their name to “The 1910 Fruitgum Company” and they came up with the famous hit “Simple Simon Says”! Another million selling bubblegum classic! Good FYI!!!

You have some serious mad skills with music remixing. Just curious, with your mad skills is it at all possible to isolate the lyrics and increase the volume ever so slightly on this song? It's not that they can't be understood but they are blending with the music more than being a little more focal in the song. Naturally, I understand that's how songs were made back them and finding high quality recordings of them is rare so I get how much work can go into enhancing one of the classic songs.
