In this lecture we discuss what it means for a linear transformation to be one-to-one or onto. We then relate these new concepts back to the known concepts of span and linear independence. Be sure to stick around for the derivative example at the end of the lecture!

This lecture is part of a course on linear algebra (Math 208, University of Washington)
