I do not think this works anymore. I've tried it multiple times, overkilling damage even more but it was just nothing.

If someone figured out a way to keep doing it, please let me know. Until then, work hard to make your Felarx shine.
All that DE did is change this from one shot from Kuva Hek to two bursts out of Felarx.

By the way, the "head" for the archons is actually their crystal. I keep seeing people making these videos on this and they keep showing footage of them going for the actual head. Shoot the crystal instead for better effect.

I've been told that the archons are weak to radiation damage. If their armor type is Alloy, then this build should easily one shot both phases with a radiation setup due to the double dipping of armor penetration and elemental bonus damage.

From my research (scanning the archon to completion) they have the same weaknesses as eidolons, which seems consistent since both are technically dead/dying sentients. In any case, radiation damage is the way to go.

I did this hunt solo, used my usual sp ash viral/slash build, was doing barely any dmg with my nataruk and laetum with eclipse at 250 % power strength, it wasn’t till I used void strike that I started doing dmg, so yeah these things are very strong, not overwhelming but definitely a challenge if you’re loadouts aren’t quite steel path tier

Stated in the froum that Devs dont want to make it one shot dead by using glaive as standard testing. So sooner or later, either there will be change from DR mechanism, or shotgun nerf

Back when this video was launched I could not find a difference between different elementals no matter what I've tested it with.

Recent tests show Radiation being the strongest as it's supposed to be with Archon's armor.
Just wanted to clear that up since in some of my older comments I am mentioning that it does not matter - and it didn't. Just now it does matter.

Have you tried using Felarx? Build it for radiation and high damage, non-crit and use the upgrade that increases damage on non-crits. Seems to be faster than Kuva Hek, and you can use Stropha to one shot those belt imunity things.

This easily works with mesa, roar in her four and have the augment "Ballistic Bullseye"

instead of vigilante armament, there is the hek only mod that increases multishot by 200%, idk if it works with kuva hek, didn't test it yet

Hi man, I just got back into the game after 2 years and slowly building my Kuva Hek for Archons. A few questions: Does the weapon not benefit from Primed Ammo stock to unleash 8 rounds? Also, can I understand the rationale of using Umbral Fibre? Vex Armour isn't additive with Armour mods and you'll get a much higher damage output by running transient fortitude over Umbral Fibre. Granted, even with the unhelpful scaling according to the maths you'd have 300 more armour with your build (with your setup), but it's too negligible to even represent a fraction of a % DR at that value. You'd get a touch less duration (a few seconds) but much higher damage output for testing. Also, why not use Toxin for elemental for faster reload, it's free real estate? Is Blaze there purely for heat and damage for radiation? Is another elemental not more effective since Blaze is additive damage and doesn't scale with Vex? Trying to build a good Kuva Hek.

what element should i get if i get it as radiation does the same build work? and does 25% radiation good or should I change for more bonus radiation? and does it need viral to actually one shot archons? tnks.
