Hi I bought a custom made used wooden vivarium from someone in my community. She had a bearded dragon in it. I was wondering how I could clean the wood without damaging it with water? Maybe I could just not get it to wet and use a spray bottle? Any advice would be appreciated. I plan to put dry lock on it, so I can easily clean it in the future but I wanna make sure it's disinfected from the previous animal.

Is there a way to disinfect/sterilize wood that can't be removed from an enclosure? For example if it's built into the background with Great Stuff.

I just use reptile disinfectant to clean glass!

How do you clean out a Bioactive terrarium like you still have to clean the glass and the accessories and fake decor also to do a bioactive do you have to have live plants? Can you do Bioactive with fake plants and have the clean up crew ? Then eventually add live plants if you want I'm getting two African Fat Tail Geckos and I'm I'm geunine curious if you have to have live plants to have it bioactive

I use water with a little bit of white vinegar. And then a dry paper towel to.. dry it lol

Can someone help me? I have a baby African Fat Tailed gecko, and I keep her on paper towels. Of course, you have to change that out every 2-3 days, but whenever I do, the scent changes! Then my gecko won’t poop for 2-3 days, and by the time she does, it’s time to clean again! She’s too young for bioactive or loose substrate, so I can’t do that, but I don’t know what to do!
