2015 Ford Mustang GT First Drive

Someone must be spiking the drinking water around the Detroit area with a combination of Red Bull, methanol and epinephrine. What else can explain the onslaught of American sports cars coming out of Michigan lately?

Best mustang yet. Why would anybody be upset that the Mustang is now good all around, and not just with horsepower. There is more to performance than acceleration, and this mustang can now genuinely compete with cars from around the world. A refined daily driver can can light up a track or drag strip. The ecoboost is a must have in the inventory. It's 2014 and this car sells all around the world. I never thought people would be upset by improvements.

I love this and the challenger. Their purpose seem to differ but I'm still confused on who would buy the camaro. It's like it doesn't know if it's a sports car or a muscle car...

This video does not get me excited about the mustang. If you're going to test a muscle car then drive the heck out if it. The tech and refinement info is very useful but for goodness sakes drive it like you stole it.

Only thing i dont like is that the front end isnt aggressive enough, if I wanted a fusion I would buy a fusion! I wait to pass judgement until I drive one..

If the 2015 Mustang GT is supposed to shadow the Boss 302, that means the 1LE Camaro will still beat it out.

The 2014 Trans America Racing series (TA2 class) was won by the Hemi power Dodge Challenger last week at Daytona in it's very first season, beating every Mustang and Camaro. The driver was Cameron Lawrence.     ENOUGH SAID!!!!   ;o)

...I had an 87' GT and ordered it with extra motorcraft parts and a 3.72 rear. One of the most fun cars I ever owned.  People must remember when the mustang first came out it was an affordable car for college grads and early 20 somethings.  It had a straight 6 taken from the Ford Falcon it was created from.  In keeping with that tradition,   Ford still offers a nice v6 (3.7)  but what I don't understand is throwing a (4) turbo in it.  I know Ford is going global and wants to appeal to the rest of the world but this cheapens the 'stangs'  iconic mystique.  The main reason people across the globe would want a 'stang' is because of the V8 !  As much as I like the V8 though,   I am contemplating buying one with the V6.  I don't care about straight line performance but more concerned with the "twisties"..    Love what I see of this car so far,   just have to test one out   ; )

Looks a decent car. Major fail in not reducing the weight considerably though. Are Chevy/GM the only US manufacturer that is willing to make a commitment to using low weight/composite material?
