Fun fact about this scene Mara Wilson who plays Matilda was terrified of dancing in front of others, so Danny De Vito who plays Mr. Wormbook also the director thought it’ll would be a great idea if the whole cast and crew would dance with her behind the scenes so they threw a dance party that way Mara would concur her fears and have fun I thought it was the sweetest thing this movie really is magic🌻

I love the way Matilda outwitted those 2 guys and got that tape. She's clever for a kid.

I love catching continuity errors like the camera already being open before Matilda opens it. Loved growing up with this movie.

When Matilda spills the Cheerios all over the table, I look at that as a symbol that sometimes in life, we will screw up in something that we're working on to be successful in, but we always work our way through to succeed. (When Matilda is successful with the milk)

What I love is that Matilda uses her powers to defend and protect people, even if they have been horrible to her, like her dad. She definitely could've taken the villain route.
