Kurds are the world’s largest ethnic group without a sovereign state of their own. Their fight for independence and autonomy has lasted for more than a century and continues today.

Ethnic Kurds are divided into several countries and are an oppressed minority in each of those countries. Why are Kurds split into nations and don’t have a nation of their own? Is it even meaningful to have one state for them?
