The huge HUGE problem with this is that the xm4s on Amazon are the renewed price, but the new retail price is 350, and xm5, s renewed is like 250

Guys if you want an accurate comparison, find that sound engineer guy that reviewed this. You can compare the two for yourself. This type of review just hops in the trend that xm4 is the better choice mainly for the price difference

I just got the XM4 yesterday... it's all that I need, except for the head band which is too small. After 3-4 hours it starts pressing into the skin on my head and hurting.
If they would've made the head band on the xm5 wider, I might have considered returning this one and going for the upgrade... but since that's not the case i'll just look for a DIY solution.

I've had many headsets before, the XM4 has no competition (in my experience). I only paid 179€ for the XM4 thanks to the Amazon Prime Days, so it was a really good deal.

For me xm5 is better for NC and mic, this helps a lot for work

I have both xm4s and wf1000xm3. Just changed the batteries myself of wfxm3 after the oem ones died as it has been few years of usage. Will do the same for xm4s onces its batteries dies or can't hold charges. No need to uograde unless the headphones physically break or their is issues with circuitary. These companies would release a new iterations each year which is actually money grabbing techniques. My mx4s still sound AMAZING.

How are you gonna compare a renewed price for the xm4 and full price for the xm5

I prefer the XM3’s sound to the XM4 and XM5 tbh. At home I use an DAC/amp with open back headphones, but when I’m on the go I want “fun” sound. The XM3’s provide this.

I got the xm4s for 199 so it was more worth it to just go with them than the xm5. There’s a difference between wanting the best and wasting money.

I got the xm4 over the xm5 solely because of the fact you can fold the xm4s and are more compact for travel

So I just got the XM5s and my girlfriend just got the XM4s at Best Buy the same day, and we are returning the XM5s because the XM4s are much better in our opinion. The 4s fold and are louder compared to the 5s but the 5s just look nicer.
