Based on my experience WooCommerce or Magento 2 would be more ideal. However a Headless BigCommerce implementation would the way to go.

Great video but one key point is that Shopify charges .6% - 2% per transaction when using an external processor

BC does not optimize images based on new compression algorithms such as MOZJPG. WooCommerce does not have this issue. Shopify not sure at this point. But its big since the images are 30% larger and images have a big impact on performance.
Also BC does not use Webp from their CDN network. Why pay for a platform like BC when it does not have basic features...

BC also has something called Custom Fields which are a pain to organize and update. WooCommerce and Magento don't have this issue.

Woocommerce is very fast if you have a high speed hosting server with VPS or dedicated IP with SSD you can get super fast performance also WooCommerce have more freedom and a lot of customization in our hand n own control

Shopify is also very fast easy and beginner friendly👍

Shopify charges a transaction fees. Isn't it a drawback ? In woo commerce i don think such fee exists. Plz let me know ur take on this
