We need to confront greed/consumerism of capitalism and transform QUICKLY to sufficiency/moderation and just living on less consumption/waste. Small is beautiful !!

In a finite system it is hard to avoid a situation where someone having more is not removed from someone else, however we should strive for a system that mimics the idea of permaculture but in economics.

Good different look at the situation! Thanks! Extrapolating from the idea of being more specific with where, what, when. Global south is too fuzzy. Understanding wide variation down to the square meter area would potentially provide a much higher faster realized ROI. Instead of nation state level investments go after high impact opportunities across borders.

How poignant of an analysis. The irony after the 10 years if labor growth was that in order to remain "enticing" to other capitalistic markets they have to in tern, go completely against their ideals of supporting the worker and instead exploit and repress them in order to maintain business with exploitative capitalistic markets. Really sours the taste in many aspects. Capitalism, like another speaker mentioned is focused on the entrepreneur as the creator of value and wealth, and not the laborer.

Really loved the perspective of the south here especially with the climate aspect. So often we get caught up in our own lens we really need more people to challenge our predispositions and assumptions on value. If we're being honest, climate budget should be South majority as china and India have the largest populations. But again, everyone is really just out for #1, themselves in most of these cases, and the summits are just how many concessions one can get out of other countries.

The more you produce and consume the less pollution. Counter intuitive but still fact

What the f am I watching?... Don't think I've ever heard someone sound so smart yet be So incredibly clueless at the same time. She doesn't actually think China or leftist US actually wants things to get better does she? This is what happens when you shelter your kid too much

"Global South" seems like a fairly meaningless and misleading term used by people who often seem more concerned with terms (especially taboos and shibboleths) than with meanings.
