the Para 3 is supposed to be smaller, that way it can stay legal in states where there is a blade length limit. it's a more EDCable knife for more people. it's made to fill that void between the delica and the Paramilitary 2 and still maintain the same basic ergonomics.

Spyderco blades always remind me of the spy vs spy comics from mad magazine

I'm assuming the reason your hand doesn't sit the same is because the Para3 is a smaller version of the paramilitary 2, key word being smaller

Man, those woods are beautiful! Good discussion.

I have that exact PM2 and I love it. I’ve heard people talk about the grip tearing up their pockets but I’ve had zero issues with it. I love the way it looks with the camo and coated blade. I paid 200 for mine but I’m not active military. And thank you for your service buddy. Enjoyed your content.

I like the paramilitary 2 i bought one about a month ago and it is the best knife i have it has such great ergonomics

I don’t understand people dulling their knife blades on cardboard when you can buy a box cutter for $2? I have box cutters everywhere I might need them. It’s so silly to see people cutting up cardboard with their edc knife. If I’m cutting bullshit I get a bullshit cutter...

I think people should get both, if they can. They're just great knives. I think my only complaint, I broke the tip on my Para 2 within the first week of having it.

oh no its over 3 inches... Here in Idaho when you get pulled over the police don't ask you IF you have a weapon in the car.... They ask you how MANY weapons you have in the #constitutionalcarry

Love them both but right now for me i prefer the Para 3. you can't go wrong with either. Thank's

I agree with your overall assessment. I would add though that, of course the Para3 isn't going to be quite as good as its larger cousin, but you can carry the para3 in places you can't carry the paramilitary 2. Also, for edc in pants, lot less profile and some less weight on the smaller knife.

Noones pointed out that the Handles different/ Smaller because its suppose to be...the PM2 has a Bigger blade therefore it needs a Bigger handle....

Quite a few reviewers complained about the excess handle as opposed to the blade length of the pm2 but I feel it was intentional to give a hard use use knife a much more secure and comfortable grip.

The para3 hotspots my hand almost immediately but I can use the pm2 all day. In Australia you can’t edc a knife regardless of length so the blade length for legal reasons doesn’t come into the argument.

Where it does allow you to edc due to the shorter length, I would be interested to see if the 3 inch blade of the para 3 somehow attached to the longer pm2 handle would go. Not everyone cares about pocket realestate so much that it would matter.

As far as I'm aware, and I'm a born and bred Vermon'er, the Para2 is completely legal here (in VT). The only knife restrictions we have primarily revolve around OTF or stiletto knives- those are the knives that have to have blades under 3"

Been said by many others here in the comments, but it’s a smaller knife, so of course it has a shorter handle. And pretty much every other reviewer has mentioned this as well.

Man I really respect you. some people love playing toy soldiers in their incorrectly worn army uniform thinking they are all tactical and ready for when shit hits the fan. I think you are the only survival channel I watch where you do everything legit and properly, while serving for your country. keep making great vids!

Back then knifes were actually used for something useful now they’re used to cut cardboard boxes 😂

Para 3 is just a smaller version love the review when i put the para 3 in my hand I immediately picked it up that my small finger is off the grip. This is a no go for me. Para 2 still the best unless you have small hands then the para 3 might work for you. Both great knives, well both the same thing.

I recently got a hogue doug ritter mini, and have found it handles all my edc chores, as well as my larger knives

I'm fairly certain the Para 3's choil is integral to holding it properly, like the Native.
