When referring to Continental and English style knitting, all that means is the way tension is applied to the yarn when knitting. What method of tensioning your yarn do you prefer?

I crochet. But I’ve started learning how to knit because one of my amigurumi patterns call for knitting. I didn’t know there was two types of knitting. I was doing it the English way but after seeing this video I wanna try the continental. I think it would be more convenient for me to hold the working yarn with my left seeing as that’s where I hold it when I crochet. Thank you. This video was very clear and helpful.
