1979 has always been my favorite Pumpkins song, with Disarm second. I still remember the first time I heard it - I had just seen my cousins one summer for the first time in over a year, and one of them played this song while we were swimming. He explained how the "tuna fish" sound in the song was an accident Billy Corgan made into the mic but was kept in the song. It was a long time ago, a time when life was simpler and happier and my memory is so clear because of that.
