Justine has severe depression - it comes and goes. Sometimes she's OK, sometimes she just trying to be OK, and sometimes it's so bad she is nearly helpless. Melancholia is a type of depression as well as the name of the planet. I just saw the movie last night. Very intense movie and it sticks with you.

No.It was beautifully acted, beautifully filmed and unique.And the premise about the end of everything, treated with latent drama rather than hysteria, surely touches a deep note in all of us who will some day have to face our own personal end.

Can't wait to see another of Lars Von Trier's masterpiece! I`m sure it's going to be as great as Antichrist and Breaking the Waves.

Not only that it has Charlotte Gainsbourg, who was perfect in his last movie, and Charlotte Rampling who was the actress in The Night Porter, one of his favorite moviesof all time.

Just by that, you know the movie will be as awesome as the rest of his work.

I watch a lot of films, and anyone who knows me knows this to be true, this film is now one of my favorites, it takes a lot to inpress me, yet this film is absolutely breathtaking I saw this on Wed when it was played on HDNet, wow am I glad I didn't miss this..I am tempted to see this again in the theater...makes me wonder about Planet X a bit...
