You could so get your colour of dye! The brand, Rit Dye, has a mixing chart that tells you the proper proportions of their colours to achieve the colour you want. It's so worth looking into! Oh, can't wait for that new pattern. Looks like a dream skirt 😍Also, that winter jacket is going to be so unique!

I have watched this video lots of times. Even so, I still can't pick a favorite upcoming project.

I actually bought that exact gingham fabric from spotlight and used it to make your daisy pattern. It is easily my favourite dress ever!

Seersucker dress and puffer bedspread jacket are the two I’m looking forward to seeing made up. Fun! ❤

We have over 2 feet of snow where I am, so this is comforting that there is warmth somewhere even tho it's -28 degrees F here.
The matching set would be much more versatile... but both would be cute :)

Definitely the puffer jacket. Can't wait to see your creativeness transform a boring bedspread into something beautiful!

All of your projects sound fantastic, Janelle. Especially dying the lace fabric and making a dress from it.
I saw on Instagram that you have commenced your puffer jacket. I can definitely see the Japanese influence in your design. It looks adorable.
You have a fabulous wardrobe. An Australian design company should be collaborating with you.
You are fabulous. And l thoroughly enjoy your channel. 😊

I agree with you that puffers can be so boring, but in a granny-chic fabric I think you could make winter granny chic a thing! ❤

I love seersucker! I used to make pretty much all my clothing but don't have a lot of oomph anymore. Tonight was the first time I saw your vlogs and was impressed by something you didn't even talk about but I could see in the background that the clothing you make is modest and with sleeves, or you have a top on underneath the dress you were wearing. I don't understand why woman don't want to keep anything to the imagination, they want to flont all their body bits. The patchwork fabric you were trying to decide about, I saw one that I would have never even looked at the brown or green, it was reds/pinks. I only got a quick glance but red and pink are my favorite colors. Anyhow I would have for sure bought that one. It is amazing how we all have our own color preferences.

I am looking forward to fabric shopping in Japan next April!!
For the coverlet becoming a puffer jacket....if you did a placket inside the front you can help with sealing the front before tying the bows or even have a hidden zipper in there. I would also use the frill already attached around the hem of the jacket.
Cannot wait to see what you make xxx

With the puffer you could do an inner bit (im imagining either a fleece lining or just some fleece flaps) which zips and forms a nice warm cocoon but have the outer bit tie with ribbons

Hi Janelle. The lace idea is a good one. You may find it difficult if the lace is polyester. I recently tried my hand at dying cottons with brown onion skins and avocado pits. The brown onion skins gave a nice shade you may like. I also tried dying a piece of lace, it didn't take on the dye well at all. I'll send you a pm.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the brown check maxi dress turns out and your puffer jacket.

I made that vintage Style pattern many years ago. I had to make a number of adjustments to the front and back bodice and I also put 6 little loops into the back seams so I could lace up the back to cinch in the waist line. This dress was a lot of work but was worth it! It was my favorite floral dress of all time. I think the biscuit broderie fabric would look pretty in the dress with the ruffles over the sleeves.
