Dave's been spending some time with a Buick Verano (a barely reworked Chevy Cruise) and he's got some opinions. While most of them are things he hates, there is one thing he likes. #shorts

I hate when tall guys buy a little car and start bitching about it

I have one of these.
Your weight sensor in the passenger seat is busted.
You need to adjust the steering wheel and you seat height.
And the backup cam goes red within 5 feet, so you don't run over a child.

But good for you to notice the heated seats are nice..

I have a 2015 Buick Verano. I bought it in 2016 as a "program car" (was a rental car prior) from the delership and I love it. It now has 169, 000+ miles on it. And maintence on this car has been actually quite cheap. My only complaint is that I have replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor on it at least 4 times. There for a while I was getting it changed out literally every 13 months just as the warranty was out so instead of going to the dealer to get it fixed the last time, I went to a mom and pop shop and I have had no problem since then. I have a 45 minute drive to work and it has good gas mileage. Soon my kids will be driving. This will be a great for car for them to practice with and take the driver's test.

The front seats go waaaay back, tons of legroom. If you want a gripe it’s there’s no room in the back.
When the beepbeep turns into a solid beep is when you have to stop backing up.
Great thing about this car is you can drive it at 80 mph all day and it’s quiet smooth, heavy and comfortable.
Another gripe is that it might burn oil thru the cylinder walls and you won’t know if you don’t check and then you can damage your timing chain and then blow the engine
But if you pay attention, great car.

I test drove one and I a am a pretty small woman . The car is so small I could not get my hand down the side of the door and the seat to reach the seat adjustment levers without opening the door. Got myself a used Buick Lucerne. LOVE IT

I have a 2016 Verano with 82K I just picked up. I'm about 6'1 and I fit in there quite comfortably. I love the seats. The 2.4 Ecotec in these only suffer from lack of maintenance, if you check your oil and change it at 50% oil life it will last a long time. The reason why the same engine fails in the Terrain, Equinox, and the Captiva is because they are stressed from the all wheel drive and lack of oil changes.

It's a very nice car, I'm looking at a 2015 for my daughter as a surprise for her graduation. It's a huge financial sacrifice for me, I promised her I would get her a car for her graduation. If I'm buying, she's getting a American car. It's a nice car, I wouldn't mind having one of these for myself off work as it gets better gas milage than my 2016 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L V8.
