Thank you man, this was super helpful. I loop kick and snare drum with hitting the guitar strings like Ed Sheeran does and I was running into issues of it causing my amp to clip. Doing this and being able to split microphone loops and guitar loops into separate channels fixed the issue and I was super worried something was wrong with my amp or my RC600. Long story short you saved me a ton of money and headache so definitely worth a like and subscribe.

Thanks very much Mr. Gallagher for making this series. I've had the 600 about a week now, and am realizing it is complex and powerful. Wrote Sweetwater and Roland yesterday advocating for a course of some kind on it. I could and probably will fumble around on this for years getting all the features down, but your series helps and is the best I've found!

I just got mine today. It took me 3 hours to get my bass to play only through the amp I set the output to but when I recorded a track it played the bass through my guitar amp and pa. I figured it out by setting the bass to only play through that output only on track 3. Was very confusing at first but now I see that it has a lot of control and I didn’t know how to set it. Anyways was a fun 3 hrs but I’m glad I figured it out. Lol

I used to use the 300 ALL THE TIME! The routing was my biggest gripe. Been a few years, gonna upgrade to this one because it seems to fix my issues.

Thanks for this great video. Still trying to find the ideal set up on the 600. I have it slaved to an RC 300 and then use the 600 to loop keys, bass and fiddle. Trying to get everything at the right volume and EQ'd is a process.

Hey Ross Just found out you channel, THANK YOU, it is so helpful and to the point man you help me a bunch.
A tiny nitpick of 'criticism', I suggest doing some different thumbnails for the videos, it is slightly hard to distinguish between them.
Amazing info man thanks again

Hey bro! Thank you for the info. What kind of button toppers are you using?

Hi Ross, thanks for this and all your content. I have one question: I play in single mode, thanks to your other tutorial, and I have 6 buttons set up as
1 Intro
2 Verse
3 Bridge
4 Chorus
5 Break
6 Solo or whatever

I wonder if I can submit guitar and voice on 2 single mono channels and all the loops on a third channel.
This would help the venue mixing as needed.

Do you know if this is possible?
Cheers,
Erik

Is it possible to route vocals to one out put without fx, and another output with fx?

Can the separate output jack LEVELS be set "per memory" (rather than per system) so that you can have a different signal volume-level coming out the same output when you switch a different memory?

Ross how do you connect your Katana to the RC 600? Do you just line out the Katana. I would like to run R and L left from my dual Katana Artists in stereo expand mode but haven figured it go line out of each Katana because the line out is uded for stereo expand.

Can you route fx to the sub outs? I can only hear fx from the main outs. I need the fx on my guitar going to input 1 and then routed to sub 1 out.

Hi,
I’m just about to set up my recently purchased rc-600. To save me some time with the setup I thought I’d ask you for some help. The wizard of rc600 😃

When performing I use my voice and an acoustic guitar. Out from my pedalboard and in to the mixer, I want 4 signals: acoustic guitar (mono), my vocals (mono), looper signal (L&R). I want this setup to have the possibility to mix and eq the signals separately.

On my old set up I used a “Panic button” pedal, which routed the vocal signal to the looper when recording harmony vocals. Is there a way in the rc600 that allows me to instead of using the panic button run the vocal signal direct to the looper and whenever I want the signal to be recorded address let’s say pedal number 9 to trigger this routing, otherwise the signal runs straight through..?

As a thank you I’d gladly donate some coffee money to you. 😃☕️

Thanks

im getting mine in a few days to stuff around with stuff for shits and giggles i guess so if i was to just plug this in through my send and return of my guitar amp would i have to adjust anything in the loop stations settings to make it work or it is depending on the input and output i plug it in

Thank you. Newbie here. Are you avoiding to route it in the amp because it can damage the amp? And a pa speaker is preferred for multiple sounds?

Great Video! Thank you. Question: Can you get away with not using a mixer for live gigs and just run everything out to the Speakers? You mentioned you use a mixer for playing out. Just wondering about why you use the mixer. Trying to simply my set up. I have not bought the Boss RC 600 yet, but my set up now is complex with Ableton, audio interface, laptop etc. I have used the RC 300 in the past and thinking of going back to an RC 600 for live gigs if it can make life simplier.

Is it possible to save the routings you have set up on the system level? Mine only seems to save to a specific memory, when I change it all the routing is back to factory default. How can I make the routing apply on the system level and not the memory level?

Hi, Ross. Thank you for your videos. They are super helpful. Keep going. I have a question to routing. Context: in my setup I play with a band, and from RS 600 I play piano samples, and some other guitar parts. But I was thinking about sending a click to the drummer from RC, and it was working fine until the drummer asked to put down my main guitar a bit low, but then I dont hear it properly. Here is my question: is it possible to route ONLY CLICK to the headphones, or other output, so that my guitar is muted in that output and sent directly to the amp while the drummer hears only Click?
