Genuinely good 1440p displays are really affordable these days. I've spent hundreds on colour accurate ones in the not too distant past. The super crazy accurate ones from the likes of NEC and Eizo are still super expensive but you really get what you pay for. If you need that level of colour accuracy you need to spend the extra!

You can still get some things a little cheaper (mouse, keyboard, trackpad, monitor). But what is posted isn’t bad.

also want to add if you want a Apple branded display, you can get a used Apple Thunderbolt Display, its not 4K, but its still a really good display.

I’ve got this display for about 2 years now. It’s been an absolute Doll (that means great btw lol). Definitely a good recommendation. If you want perfection tho get 4K or 5K but this is amazing as is. And the Matte screen it’s got is 🥰 to me.

I've got that ASUS ProArt display and it's an excellent device. Plenty of ports, and the stand is crazy stout. I also have that Logitech mouse. I have big hands but I like the feel.

If you intend doing any creative work, get a full keyboard. It lets you put tailored keyboard shortcuts all in one place and really boosts productivity.

I am in Australia. I have bought a Mac compatible extended keyboard for US$6.50. It does the job. I've got decent wireless mice with scroll wheel for the same price. I got a small Wacom tablet for US$45.

That looks like a very nice Pro display. I have two 4k rotatable displays, a Dell and a BENQ, for a little bit less than you paid for your ASUS. I have plenty of spare speakers which haven't cost me much. Not Pro level but perfectly adequate. Using the phone for your webcam is an excellent idea.

Got one of theses Mac minis just to run scrypted for my HomeKit video streams. Use a iPad as the screen/keyboard so don’t need anything else to control it.

Constructive criticism. Less rack zoom and better image stabilization. I'm 46 seconds in and i'm very much noticing the zooming. That's just me. and i'm thinking that is making me notice all the movement of the camera too.

As a practical note if people are going for a budget, i'd say consider a refurbished moniter. I got one on Newegg. Around a $110. And if you don't need 4k, smaller display, or high end features maybe even less.

The progression is not linear! The M4 chip is faster than the last generation M3 pro base chip. Do not waste your money and get the M4 pro chip unless you really need it.
