And this music still slaps.
RIP to all those lost PMCs over the years who never escaped from Tarkov and never lived to see it finally release.

Everyday I try to escape form Tarkov, 5 years later and I’m still stuck here.

Year 2020 here, cannot believe that 5 years have passed since I was blown away by the looks of this game. Dear Battlestate, we´ve come a really long way, you, and me. I want to say thank you for all the hours of exciting and unique moments. As of today, right now, EFT is the most watched videogame on Twitch, with almost 300k viewers, and for some strange coincidence, while listening a music playlist, I´ve come across to this song. I hope all the best to your talented team and for this amazing project, keep doing what you do.

This game is the definition of paranoia.

What a good theme. The melody is soft and lyric, but as a sentimental person, I seem to hear the battle cry, the shootout, the sad sign, and even the groan in pain of every soldier who struggles in this rediculous, meaningless, endless and hopeless battle. From my point of view, the theme depicts the sadness and cruelty of war vividly but also with a sense of romanticism.

I always thought that if you reached a certain level by the end of the wipe, you should get a secret ending cinematic where your character escapes Tarkov on a helicopter with this music playing as they look over the setting sun, tracer fire and explosions erupting over the city.

Best part is from 2:00 on. The song sounds really hopeful. You have a feeling of being against the world. But you have to make it, and this song fills you up with hope.

The music in Tarkov is so epic. Gives me chills many times. Sounds like this tragic life in distress in the wild fighting for your survival. I see a movie of PMC running through points on the map, sweating, looting, crouching, laying down, scared shitless for life and RNG events that can happen at any time, is it a group of drunk scavs, a sniper scav, scav boss and his buddies, other PMC fighting each other or running into you and life or death is decided in split seconds. Tragedy is that most of the time the PMC won't escape from Tarkov. That's a fate of many poor PMCs stuck in such terrifying environment but a few will persevere will it be a rat PMC who will crawl to the extraction point or a fully geared and militarily experienced PMC who fought others and got their juice loot. The music resonates such intense moments so well and it just couldn't be better. There is no game on the market that is so hardcore and gives such thrill, deep frustration (I've smashed my table couple times) and deep satisfaction from successful PvP action. Started 3 weeks ago and can't stop playing it. Wish I started with everyone when it first came out but now I'm learning and dying so much LOL.

we finally escaped

It was early February 2018.

I just downloaded Escape from Tarkov and quickly hopped into a Woods raid with my faithful friend. Both of us highly uneducated about this game.

Through poor gun skills and a pray and spray mindset, we managed to take out multiple scavs and players littered around the wide-open spaces of the reserve park.

With my fellow PMC friend injured and with not nearly enough medication to keep us alive, we miraculously drag our scavenged loot and ourselves to our unknown exfil, on the other side of our battlefield with our mags at half and our chances slim.

With paranoia ensuring we check every corner and every grassy hill we cover, the extraction timer slowly but surely ticks down to one.

It's over. Our hard-fought raid had concluded and this soundtrack welcomes us back to our small but now equip stash.
