The tarkov map genie is a life saver! I just started last week, and I wouldn't be near as far into the game as I am without it. It shows where all the loot, extracts, medical cases etc are for each map! I keep it up on my secondary monitor at all times when playing!

I'm a busy man, family of 4, full time job, etc and I've been wandering if I could even get the time in to get good at tarkov without being frustrated or losing all my money in game. An uncommon advise for new players is to join the game either at the beggining or the last two weeks of the wipe. And spend allot of time offline familiarizing with the system. At the beginning the gameplay isnt as difficult for new players as mid-wipe. The equipment availability for everyone is more equal so the difficulty spike on pvp isnt as broad as mid wipe. If you run groups with at least two good players, your survival chance is a whole lot higher.

Especially on week two, allot of people already lost most of their new game stash and get low on money. So the threat level takes a dive. Before mid wipe, random or new boss events are not as common as by mid wipe so its safer. By the end of the wipe, quest hot spots are uncommonly frequented and allot of the time the vendors will have very big discounts. Last wipe ended with one rouble grenade prices and grenade launchers were common to find.

Mid wipe, the challenge gap between new and old is as wide as it could get. Thermal optics are a very potential threat on night raids. Allot of players have allot of cash to burn, their character have good stats and their vendor loyalty is very resourceful. A new player versus that is hell on earth.

My personal advice (ive never heard anyone give) is sell all of the stash weapons and ammo. Use mosin, then rush aks-74u, then get AKM at level 15. Keep the cash high by participating in flea market and selling any weapon/armor you loot that is cant be replaced by vendor at the time. Buy the 2k rubble backpack and spawn with full water/energy but dont waste food (never). I go as far as Gamma'ng food. Keep a strict load out budget. As long as the raid nets over the budget, raiding should be always sustainable.

I dont think ive ever hearr anyone share that. But I wouldnt be able to play often if i didnt follow those principles.
