I really thought Prime Remastered and Luigi's Mansion 3 was the ceiling for Switch. But holy shit, Prime 4 is miles ahead of that and STILL maintains 60fps. What kind of ritual sacrifice is going on at Retro Studios?

Never realized how gargantuan the shoulders were lol. I personally dig the trimmed down suit. Look less tanks and more maneuverable. Looks like they took some pointers from Dread's suit ( they have her some neck space ) lol

Both games are absolutely gorgeous, but man Prime 4 really took its visuals up a notch.

it's interesting how they kept the original suit but gave it more human proportion, smaller shoulder, room for the neck, larger waist, you lose a bit of the fantasy but now it looks like Samus can actually do flip and jump on wall lol. One thing I'm happy for is that they didn't go overboard with over desing, like putting glowing neon light all over the suit and giant spike coming out left and right

I'm glad they decided to stick with the metroid prime 2 version of the varia suit. It is THE definitive version of the varia suit imo.

The suit design for Prime 4 is the same design we've had since Prime 2 Echos original version, which was a major change from the first Prime game (original or Remastered), you can tell this because of the placement of the shoulders from Prime to Prime 2 and beyond that. Not only were the shoulders in Prime 1 VERY LARGE, but they just sat there, where as the shoulders in Prime 2 and beyond were smaller and more part of her suit than just being large and sitting there. However with the current graphics, I think we're getting a preview through Beyond of how Prime 2 and 3 are going to look Remastered.

Prime 1 Remastered already looked amazing, and 4 is taking it to the next level, I really hope that Echoes and Corruption eventually get their well deserved Remastered treatment with all the enhancements from Beyond.

they have been building and expanding on the same engine that was used in prime 1, and it looks so good. It's crazy that they somehow got the engine to look even better than how it was with the remaster. imagine this game on switch 2.

You gotta remember MPR is a remaster of a game that's 22 years old! There isn't too much they could do to improve the graphics without breaking the game (LOOKING AT YOU, WHOEVER DID THE DOORS AND REFLECTIONS AND LIGHTS FOR THE BEAMS). That being said, it still holds up nicely wether it's remastered or not.

Retro Studios is the best thing Nintendo has when it come to detail, not only Metroid Prime, bur Donkey Kong tropical frezze also has so much stuff happening, it feels a lot more real than some other Nintendo games.

I think thanks to the remaster, they got a better understanding on how the graphics will look for 4 and loved the different control schemes they played with for the remaster: Gamecube button layout, Wii style by pointing with the Joy Con and custom FPS controls like most shooters. These might probably be applied to 4 later on. With 4 finally coming out, they might do 2 and 3 Remaster later on.

Looks like a game built from the ground up fully optimized for the switch. This is Nintendo displaying the absolute maxed out switch capabilities before moving on to the next generation device which will definitely be ported with more polish later

This doesn’t need to be cross platform Nintendo. It looks amazing as is. Don’t wait until the Switch Fusion to release it! We’ve waited long enough. lol
