DON'T Miss These Scans in Metroid Prime Remastered!

Some people might actually also miss the War wasps when fighting that Chozo looking automaton that gives you the 1st missile expansion

For 20 freaking years now I couldn't figure out the 1 scan I have been missing in every one of my play throughs. Now I know it was those damn ice bats

Also the *Aqua Drone!* You find it in Biohazard Containment, Tallon Overworld, ONCE in the entire game, once you leave the room it's gone forever, and you have to replay the entire game. Found out about it the hard way.

I think the Ice Shriekbats were the only thing I missed on my first playthrough way back when. Neat thing about the remaster though: Stuff you scanned is already scanned if you do another playthrough. So you can just go again and not worry about missing stuff.

Im replaying on hard now and whats cool is everything that was already scanned is still marked as scanned at least. Now that I know I only need Items Im gonna pass on 100% log book thanks!

Finally, a short the is both helpful and doesn't have a scum loop. For the uninitiated, That's when the video doesn't have a clear ending and it repeats in a way that sounds like a new sentence tricking you into another view.

the ice shriek bat can ALSO be scanned at the beginning of the game before the station crashes, they are stored (and obviously deceased) inside a chamber looking thingy, idk if you can still scan them later in the game after the ship is crashed, but I did scan them on my first playthrough at the beginning :)

It’s the beginning that got me. I missed stuff on the Orpheon Frigate. And it doesn’t come back when you explore it again.

Probably goes without saying but at the beginning of the game, scan EVERYTHING on the frigate! There is a handful of entries that don’t appear ever again, even when exploring the ship after it’s sunk.

The Ice Shriekbat's scan log says they're very visible in thermal Imaging, but they go away once you get the Thermal Visor. Ironic.
