I picked up an SB-1 a couple years ago. Love it.

Torsion is a real good guy. Was on the live stream and I can tell he really cares about quality and product. That's the kind of company that you can sleep at night and be happy with your decision. That's most likely the next guitar for my next video. I rather have a budget friendly guitar and just go through it and make it my own specs. Probably 1 of his strats. I love to see a tele with 2 humbuckers. Nice video Ted I missed you buddy glad you are back and in good health now even with your foot. 😊

Thanks for this, Ted! I was waiting to see that guitar. I bought a b stock st1 recently, I absolutely love it. Torsten is great, as you've indicated on previous videos. I'm looking forward to picking up an SBH as soon as I can. Thank you for your honest, informative videos that helped introduce me to Tease!

Great tone from that guitar. I agree, I would never have guessed that was a humbucker had you not said so. That neck pickup though, just a beautiful sound.

Price and brand name doesn't matter. If it feels good in your hands and sounds good to you, it's a good guitar. BTW, Tease makes good stuff. i know because I bought the ST-1 Lefty on sale a couple months ago. Other than fret sprout-dealt with in 5 minutes with my emery spong block- and a change in string retainers for better tuning stability, I haven't had to do anything. Haven't even changed the strings yet.

Number 1 takeaway, "play your guitar !"

I have so many friends who own really expensive guitars but can not play guitar.

I can't go over to their house and jam because they simply can not play.

I go to acoustic jams and not a single soul can strum through a progression on a 4 minute song without turning around the beat or just getting lost.

I have made a livin'playin' and I don't expect them to be session aces but I do wish they could at least keep a tempo, make the changes and not get lost.

Here is their greatest crutch:

They keep a spiral of lyrics with the chords written right over the words prompting them when to change but the minute the vocals stop for a guy to take a ride they are totally lost.

Perhaps if they bought a 200$ guitar they would have a few bucks for some lessons.

I have no problem with budget guitars or expensive guitars. But, for God's sake, if you have a nice guitar, play it! Don't be afraid to use expensive guitars; they're musical instruments, meant to be played. I recommend buying expensive guitars used, with some wear on them, and then not being afraid to add more wear to them. I have on my guitar stand now a used Huss & Dalton dreadnaught acoustic that I believe is a $4000-5000 guitar new, that I got used with a couple of scratches for $1750. Sweet guitar! I think that expensive guitars generally sound better, and, most definitely feel better, than cheap ones, but it depends upon the specific guitar, and what you skills and tastes are.

I have two CV50...and two HB's....and the HBs do sound every bit as good as the CV and are BETTER MADE also...MUCH better. Again....bite the bullet and go with used boutique pups....the guitar, if set up well, will be as good as an MIA, why shouldn't it be? ..promise.
