Michelle Blanchard- I'm perfectly aware of where her mother comes from and I'm sure she pronounces her name correctly ( not as you perceive it to be correct) however, the way Miss Harris pronounces it is a horse of a different color, perhaps she does so in an effort to make it sound "American" so don't ask her, ask an Indian native.

Completely wrong. There's no 'o' sound anywhere. This is a common name in India and pronounced Kam-La in Hindi and other Indian langauges. If you are pedantic, you would use the Sanskrit pronunciation Ka-Ma-Laa.
