Never knew you can just thread a resistor through there. Awesome thanks for the tip

Hi George,
If you don't want to mess around with resistors you can now get various types of 12V LEDs. I've used some on a German loco & they work great.

Could I use a common wire to wire all negative leads to the 1.5v or would you recommend multiple wires wired to that connection?

Good job! Well, I am an old dumb guy, I just want to know how to hook up LED lights, just forward & reverse with MC1H102P8 decoders? I have 4 of them and they work great and do all I want. I don't need to run on DC and I don't need a gazillion lighting functions! I have 2 in Proto 2K's and 3 in various Atlas locos.I plan on using many more cause they are Cheep!
