Interesting response from the unit to power loss. I would suggest you let Qidi know about that. The spindle portion of the side spool holder can be attached directly to the socket in the back.

Note: currently this printer does not work with cura slicer, I asked their support and they do not have a profile for Cura, although the specifications for this printer do list Cura as an available slicer...

Their qidi slicer seems okay, but I really miss the well thought out interface of Cura.

Got one, quick delivery from USA warehouse. Touchpad unresponsive, unable to complete setup. Contacted QIDI support (last weekend), said they would ship replacement part. Still waiting for them to ship part from China as evidently they have no USA parts stock, only printers...
