We solve all free response questions from the 2024 AP Calculus AB exam. A few of these free response questions were also on the 2024 AP Calc BC exam. #apcalculus #apcalculusab

The first problem concerns the temperature of coffee and a table of values, FRQ 2 concerns a particle moving along the x-axis, FRQ 3 concerns the depth of seawater and a differential equation, FRQ 4 concerns a graph and integrals for areas, FRQ 5 concerns an implicitly defined curve, implicit differentiation, and tangents, and FRQ 6 concerns volumes of solids and areas.

FRQ 1, FRQ 3, and FRQ 4 are on both the AB and BC Calc exams. The remaining free response questions are exclusive to the AP Calc 2023 AB exam.

@Wrath of Math I disagree with the solution on Problem 1d). Since the first derivative is negative in that region and second derivative is positive, they are pointing in different directions and so the temperature is cooling at a decreasing rate. To illustrate this a little easier, imagine this is a particle motion problem; if we have a particle moving with a negative velocity and has an acceleration in the positive direction, we would say that the x-value of the position is decreasing at a DECREASING rate, since the acceleration in the opposite direction is opposing the direction of motion and effectively slowing the particle down. The same reasoning should apply here also, correct?

The answer for b should be 876, not 985
